Towns and villages across the Banner county are set to benefit from an 80 million euro urban renewal fund.

Minister Alan Kelly confirmed the funding in response to a parliamentary question from Clare TD Joe Carey who says there's an urgent need for an injection of funding to improve public infrastructure in some parts of Clare.
The scheme which has previously benefitted parts of West Clare, Clarecastle and Shannon is aimed at rejuvenating town and village centres, streets and recreational areas.
