Council Engineers are understood to have expressed concern that people are still crossing Drehidnagower Bridge on the local road between Drumcliff Road and Gort Road.
It's closed to allow for repairs and remediation works, and road users are being asked to take alternative signposted routes.
The bridge is expected to re-open at the end of July.
