Gardaí are investigating a suspected arson attack on an AstroTurf pitch in Kilkee.

The fire was set on Monday night, and the pitch has now been closed as a result.
One goalmouth has been ruined, and the cost of repairs is not known.
The pitch is central to a €440,000 community facility that received grant funding and was the focus of much local fundraising.
