Germanwings Probe Finds Co-Pilot Feared For His Sight

French investigators have formally opened a criminal inquiry into the Germanwings crash to see if anyone could be held liable for manslaughter.

It's emerged that the co-pilot – who's believed to have deliberately crashed the plane – feared he was losing his sight and saw more than 40 doctors in five years.

150 people were killed when the plane came down in the Alps – the first burials of the victims will take place later today.
