On Friday last, Gerry Walshe of Lisdeen Road, Kilkee was one of two men who were denied leave to take a case against the referendum result by High Court President Nicholas Kearns.

He had argued that government parties were not impartial and he raised concerns about the secrecy of the ballot because of CCTV at polling stations.

Yesterday, Gerry Walshe told the Court of Appeal that he is appealing the High Court decision, and was informed that this must be lodged by this afternoon and that it would then be considered by a judge tomorrow morning.
