Last evening in Round 2 of the Armada Hotel Clare Ladies Senior Football Championship Banner Ladies the holders defeated Cooraclare 2-21 to 5-3.
Niamh O’Dea was the games top scorer accounting for 1-13 while Banners other goal came from Niamh Keane. Anne Marie Callinan netted three times for Cooraclare who’s remaining goals were scored by Eithne Morrissey and debutant Sinead Burke.
Tomorrow in the Senior Championship Liscannor and West Clare Gaels have an early start when they meet in Quilty at 10a.m. while in the Junior championship Burren Gaels play Kilmurry Ibrickane in Corofin at 11a.m. and Kilrush play Eire Og in Coolmeen at 11.30a.m.
