While in Newbridge Kildare beat Derry 2-13 to 2-8

In Division 1A of the hurling, Cork had a single point to spare over Dublin at Croke Park, it ended 2-18 to 2-17 in favor of the Rebels

Elsewhere, Kilkenny beat Waterford by 2-22 to 1-15 at Walsh Park

While Tipperary just about saw off Galway 2-20 to 2-18 at Semple Stadium.

In Division 1B

At Wexford Park the result was Wexford 3-18, Offaly 2-120, while in Portlaoise it ended Laois 2-12, Limerick 1-24.
