One of Podge Collins former underage football managers says his loss to the code for 2017 will be felt both on and off the field.

The Cratloe man will only play hurling for Clare next year, having opted not to resume the dual mandate he fulfilled in 2016.
The move comes after a year that saw Collins become the first Clare man to win a league title in both hurling and football, while he helped both sides to their respective All Ireland Quarter Finals.
Joe Garry says while he will be missed for the footballers, everyone involved will wish him the best for the coming year.
