Clare look forward to Division one hurling after league triumph

Clare can look forward to Division one hurling next season following their 0-21 to 1-16 win over Limerick last evening.

Clare recovered from being 8 points down in the second half to win  a thrilling league final in the Gaelic Grounds and seal promotion at the third time of asking.

Clare boss Davy Fitzgerald said his side never panicked despite not playing well :

Clare captain Paddy Donnellan accepted the trophy for the county’s first title success since 2009 and the first league triumph since the double in the 1970’s.

He was delghted to lift the cup on behalf of his teammates :

Conor Mc Grath scored the final point of the night which left him with a personel tally of 12 out of his sides 21 scores.

The Cratloe man paid tribute to the Clare’s  defense  for the success :

Clare now have two weeks to get ready for a league semi final with Kilkenny in Thurles on the 22nd of April.
