Clare u15 camogie side successful in Dublin

The Clare U15 Development squad finished their year with a victory in the Dublin U15 Development Blitz on Saturday in Craobh Chiaran Clonshaugh yesterday. Having come through the group stage, they faced Kilkenny in the final. Kilkenny, playing with the advantage of the wind, had an 11 point lead over th Banner girls at the half way stage, but an absolutely storming second half performance saw Clare take the lead in the final stages and win by a point.

Both Sixmilebridge and Kilkishen came through their group stages and then faced each other in the 1/4 final stages, with the ‘Bridge girls coming out on top on a scoreline of 4-9 to 2-2. Sixmilebridge played Killeedy of Limerick in the semi final but went down to the Shannonsiders 3-5 to 2-7, the Limerick side converting a long range free with the last puck of the match.
 
Junior Camogie Championship
Kilkishen got the better of Eire Og in O’Callaghans Mills, with the Kilkishen side goaling in the 5th minute, and adding 3 points before Eire Og came into the game. Eire og battled back and the half time score was 1-3 to 1-2 in favour of Kilkishen. Eire Og leveled matters at the restart and both sides traded points before Kilksihen pushed ahead and ran out winners 3-5 to Eire Ogs 1-5.
After a hard fought battle Crusheen emerged 2 point victors over Feakle in their opening game of the Junior Camogie Championship. There was a point between the sides at half time, Crusheen 1-3 to Feakles 1-2. A goal and a point for Feakle pushed them into a 3 point lead midway through the second half before Crusheen added on 2-1 to recalim the lead. Feakles goal in the 60th minutee narrowed the deficit to 2 points but time ran out for the East Clare , leaving Crusheen winners 3-5 to 3-3.
