Golden Vale Clare Community Games action for 2011 kicked off with Indoor Soccer at Corofin
In the girls competitions on Saturday, Kilnamona won U13, with Broadford taking silver. Sixmilebridge-Kilmurry won bronze, and Inch-Connolly-Kilmaley were fourth.
The Girls U15 was won by Inch-Connolly-Kilmaley, who beat Kilnamona in the final. Sixmilebridge-Kilmurry won bronze.
On Sunday, 14 teams played in the Boys U15 contest. This was won by Cooraclare-Cree who beat Inch-Connolly-Kilmaley in the final. Ennis St Johns were 3rd, with Kilrush in 4th place.
There is more Indoor Soccer action with the U13 Boys next Sunday, again in Corofin.
Next Saturday sees the County Art and model-making competitions take over the CBS in Ennis, when children who have qualified from all over the county converge to display their artistic talents.
