A a new County Board Chairman, PRO, Assistant Secretary and irish Officer will all be elected at tonight’s AGM of the Clare County Board.
There is only a contest for the top position of Chairman as Michael "Malty" Mc Donagh and Noel O’Driscoll battle it out to succeed Michael O’Neill at the top table.
The contest is expected to be extremely close with Mc Donagh a slight favourite heading into tonight’s meeting.
Elsewhere Sean O’Halloran is expected to replace Syl O’Connor as the county’s PRO while Rosie Monaghan is set to fill Des Crowe’s positon as Assistant Secretary and Lissycasey’s Anne Hayes will replace Tom Burke as Irish and cultural officer.
The role of president of Clare GAA will also change tonight as John Hanley steps down with possibly two men standing for the position.
The convention gets underway at the Auburn lodge at 6-30.
