Crusheen captain confident of Munster win

Crusheen captain Gerry O Grady has backed his side to become the first Clare club side in 11 years to win the senior provincial club title this Sunday.

The Canon hamilton holders take on Limerick outfit Na Piarsigh in Thurles on Sunday with both sides looking for their first ever Munster title.

O Grady,who is set to line out in the full forward position told Clare fm it would be a great honour if he was to claim  the trophy on behalf of the club:

Meanwhile former Clare manager Tony considine believes Crusheen will need to score goals if they are to win against the Limerick city club on Sunday.

The Clare side have scored an average of a goal per game in their championship run this season and Considine-who led Kilmallock to sucess over Crusheen last season feels green flags will need to be raised on Sunday if they are to be victorious

Na Piarsigh fired three goals past Ballygunner in their semi final and the All Ireland winning selector told Clare fm that not only do Crusheen have to score goals -they will have to work hard  to  prevent them too:
