Former Clare Hurling Manager Ger Loughnane has been speaking out for the first time about his battle with Leukaemia.
In an interview in today’s Star Newspaper the former Clare Hurling Boss said that he was getting back his strength now and is going to take it that this illness is never coming back as you cant live in its shadow.

He spoke about the initial diagnosis and the the different phases of treatment he received at Saint James Hospital to treat the disease
Loughnane also admits that he was blown away by the level of support he received after news of his illness became public and described the volume of good wishes as overwhelming.
