In local rugby news and in the Munster junior league division one st Senans recorded their third win of the season with a 23-11 win over Clanwilliam thanks to tries by Daragh McCoy and Ian Fitzgerald as well as three penalties and two conversions by Declan Collins.
In division two Ennis lost away to St Mary’s 16-12 while Mallow beat Scariff by 35-7 and Kilrush lost to Chareliville by 20-8 away from home.
