BBC are reporting that the apologies of Luis Suarez and Kenny Daglish regarding Suarez’s decision not to shake Patrice Evra’s hand contained the input of the clubs American owners.
A source from the clubs owners Fenway sports group says "No-one is more important than the club. Apologies were necessary," the source added that Suarez can continue his career at the club if he shows better judgement in the future.

Daglish also apologised or his behaviour in a post match interview following the game.
