Middleweight Keelan Sexton from the Ennis Boxing Club comprehensively defeated Jonathan P Ward on Friday in the quarter-final of the National Cadets Championships in the National Stadium in Dublin.
The Ennis boxer meets Castlebar’s Jason Sweeney in today’s semi-final and hopes are high that he will advance to the finals which will be held next week-end.

Meanwhile on the local front Kilfenora Boxing Club will celebrate a most successful year with a Charity tournament in the Falls Hotel in Ennistymon on Saturday night next and boxers from Ennis , Galway , Limerick and Kerry will compete on the night.
