Clare man Chris Bryan has just missed out on a place in this year’s Olympics after coming in 15th place in his Qualifying event in Portugal.

The Shannon man fought his way from 35th to 22nd on the final lap and just missed out on a European qualification place with only the top nine booking their place at London 2012.
