Terry trial for racial abuse underway

Chelsea captain John Terry’s in court for the start of his trial for allegedly racially abusing QPR defender Anton Ferdinand during a Premier League match last October.

Terry’s charged with a public order offence – he denies the allegations but faces a 2-and-a-half thousand pounds fine IF he’s convicted.

Ferdinand took to the stands earlier and told the court he found alleged racist abuse by John Terry "very hurtful".
