In news of Taekwondo the Clare competitors at the recent World Championships have returned from New Zealand, bringing three medals to the Banner County.

Member of the Quin club, Stephen Ryan, won a silver and bronze medal, while Jamie Williams of Shannon captured a bronze medal in the team event.
Louise McCagh, also of the Shannon club, represented Ireland while club mate Adrian Byrne also travelled as a coach.
Double-medallist Stephen Ryan almost captured gold but was beaten in his final by a Polish competitor who has won 17 European titles and five World Championships
Stephen’s hoping to do one better next time out.
