Triple GAA win for Clare

it was a good weekend for three of the four county sides who enjoyed wins in their respective national league campaigns yesterday.

Davy Fitzgerald’s hurlers enjoyed  a 20 points to 12 win over Antrim-despite playing the final 20 minutes with only 14 men after Domhnall O Donovan’s red card.

Elsewhere in Division 1B

At Wexford Park the result was Wexford 3-18, Offaly 2-20, while in Portlaoise it ended Laois 2-12, Limerick 1-24.

In Division 1A of the hurling, Cork had a single point to spare over Dublin at Croke Park, it ended 2-18 to 2-17 in favour of the Rebels

Elsewhere, Kilkenny beat Waterford by 2-22 to 1-15 at Walsh Park

While Tipperary just about saw off Galway 2-20 to 2-18 at Semple Stadium.

In football and Clare’s bid for promotion from Division four remains on track after a dramatic win over Carlow.

Alan Clohessy’s  last minute point saw the visitors win by 1-12 to 0-14 in Dr Cullen park.

And in ladies football

In Bansha Clare’s push for a spot in the Division two league semi finals also continued with an impressive 5-12 to 2-10 win over Tipperary.
