That’s one of nine changes made by Declan Kidney from the win over Australia last week.

Fergus McFadden and Andrew Trimble start on the wings.

Paddy Wallace is in the centre while Issac Boss and Ronan O’Gara make up a new halfback pairing.

In the pack Sean Cronin, Tony Buckley, and Donnacha Ryan all start alongside Cullen who’s set to make his first World Cup appearance.

Kidney has hinted that Keith Earls selection at outside centre means he’ll take up the role on a permanent basis when Brian O’Driscoll retires.

Former Ireland captain Keith Wood says it’s hard to know if Earls can fill the boots of O’Driscoll:

Australia bounced back from their defeat to Ireland with a 67-5 win over the USA.

The Wallabies ran in 11 tries and Adam Ashley Cooper scored a hat-trick.
